About the speaker

Ekaterina Skorobogatova is born and raised in Russia, lived in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, New York, London and now San Francisco, got a BA in Linguistics in Russia and MA in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU. Joined Facebook in 2010 to run growth in Russia, worked on a variety of exciting projects including Internet.org and early international growth for Instagram, ran growth at WhatsApp Inc. after the company got acquired by Facebook covering a variety of products and areas of strategic focus for the app such as the launch of payments and business messaging. 

Now working as an operational partner focused on growth at TheVentureCity, early stage venture fund and accelerator founded by another Facebook alumni, investing in and accelerating early stage startups in Europe and in Latin America
