About The Event

IMPORTANT:

This is a 2-day virtual workshop. By signing up for this event, you are committing to both workshops on 7/24 and 7/31, Friday nights from 7:00-9:30pm.

Due to the workshop format, we would accept limited participates (<40 total). First come first serve.

This is NOT a sponsored event. We are charging $50 each participate to cover the heavy operational cost associated with this event. Each participate would receive a $20 dollar RICEPO gift card.

Event Intro:

Design thinking, also referred to as human-centered design, is a positive way to create solutions for an organization’s most challenging issues. Design thinking offers a systematic approach to enable collaborative, interdisciplinary problem-solving. This is accomplished through the adaptive, iterative design thinking process: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test.

In this well-designed 2-day workshop, hosted by Product Pub, partnered with East West Bank, participants will be working on a real-world application that is targeting Chinese Americans.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will

  • Get hands-on experience with step-by-step instructions
  • Gain solid foundations needed to design from scratch
  • Understand how design thinking can be applied to real life
