COVID-19 Relief Joint Effort
We are a group of Asian Americans and Immigrants from the Bay Area, gathered to solicit funds from companies and communities, use them to purchase PPE from credible sources worldwide, and donate them to healthcare professionals that are in need. We believe we need to protect our health care workers as they are confronting the rise in COVID-19 cases and saving lives. The PPE shortage could make it harder to flatten the curve of new cases if our front-line health care workers don’t feel safe or get infected. We have so far donated ~30K PPE (25,050 surgical masks, 675 coveralls, 100 face shields, 1,800 isolation gowns, 1,370 shoe covers, and 170 bouffants) to health care workers in Bay Area, New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles, including using $13K Product Pub has raised so far. We are in the process of purchasing another ~$86K (raised via GoFundMe through our partnership with donatePPE.org) worth of PPE to donate soon.
Our strategy includes following:
Fundraise through our networks in both academic and industry;
Source and validate PPE suppliers, and develop a logistic solution to purchase and ship PPE from China to US via the help of volunteers within the Alibaba B2B business unit;
Distribute PPE to the hands of the front-line health care workers via partnership with donatePPE.org (featured in New York Times and Forbes).

We can also provide donation receipts and we are also registered at Benevity for company donation matches. If you are interested in donating a large sum, please donate to CMAIN (Chinese Mutual Aid International Network).
